About Us

TROOP 613:

  • We are located in Golden, Colorado in the Gateway District of the Denver Area Council.
  • We meet on Monday evenings.
  • Our program is for boys ages 10 to 18.
  • Our Troop is well-known and established.
  • Our program uses outdoor activities including aquatics, backpacking, camping, hiking, and service to achieve the aims of character, citizenship and personal fitness.
  • We have fully trained adult leadership, many with lifelong Scouting experience.
  • We have a diverse year-round camping program and hold one camp out activity a month.
  • Our Troop is Scout led using the Patrol Method.  Events are chosen and planned by the Scouts annually at the Program Planning Conference & Youth Leader Training held in August.
  • Our Troop participates in numerous Eagle and community service projects every year that results in hundreds of hours of service in the community.
  • We have one of the highest percentages of Scouts earning the rank of Eagle in the state.
  • We have a fun and productive Merit Badge Program.
  • We offer the opportunity for our Scouts to make new friends, develop character and citizenship and have fun in a safe and nurturing environment.
